My Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day still doesn’t seem like it should be for me.  It’s for mom’s in their 40’s or so, and for Grandmas… I’m too young for Mother’s Day.  That is, I’m too young, until my husband gets out the gifts and changes that extra poopy diaper!  Then Mother’s Day is the greatest holiday invented .My boys got me flowers and a bunch of goodies, including a couple CD’s I’ve been wanting: the latest from The Choir and Kevin Max.  The sweetest part, is that my husband hates both of these bands/singers, so purchasing them for me was true love!  It definitely wasn’t one of those “I bought you this CD so I can listen to it,” kind of gifts.  And Chris even tolerated listening to the Kevin Max CD all night… my so sweet husband.  So I’ve been having lots of fun listening to new music.  I feel pretty much like a kid at Christmas (new CD’s get me really excited, in case you can’t tell ).

They took me to Chili’s, because I’ve been craving their chips and salsa with a side of ranch dressing… it lived up to all my expectations, but I don’t think I got the craving out of my system.  I could go for another round of chips right now!  And Chili’s serves Coke, so it really couldn’t have gotten any better.
