Muscles

Isaiah and Chester are like brothers.  I haven’t decided which one has the upper hand, but I think it’s quickly becoming Isaiah.  Yesterday I  opened the closet to put the vacuum away and out walked the dog!  Apparently Isaiah had shut him up in the closet.  I don’t think he’d been in there long and he didn’t seem disturbed, so I had to laugh.  I don’t think Chester had been bothering Isaiah… Isaiah just saw an opportunity and took it.

I feel like a new woman!  I cleaned out the junk drawer in my kitchen and now… the sun is shining brighter, the sky is bluer, the grass is greener, etc.  Sometimes those little things around the house can really grate on you and then when you fix them, it feels like your equilibrium is back.  It can be very inspirational.  Maybe I’ll clean out my pantry next .

Isaiah said thank you (“day-do”) last night!  He’s said it a couple times before, but this was the clearest and he said it a couple times.  Maybe we’re finally getting some manners ingrained in our little savage!  He’s in a very self-assertive stage.  He knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to tell you.  But he’s also very loving and will give hugs and kisses whenever we ask.  The other day he was being naughty and Chris corrected him.  He reached up and gave Chris a kiss (we think he was trying to say sorry).

Chris commented to some of the youth that he’d been working out. One of the boys was like, “Oh yeah? Well, let’s see who has bigger muscles.” So they pulled up their sleeves and our kid flexed first. Then Chris flexed. The kids were all like, “Oh… I guess you have been working out.” They better be careful not to pick on their youth pastor in the future .
