Love and Marriage

A couple weeks ago, I went to pour Chris and I a cup of coffee.  I went to the cupboard and got down two sippy cups, and went to the dishwasher and got out 2 clean sippy cup lids.  I set the cups in front of the coffee maker and started to grab the coffee pot before I realized that I was about to pour our coffee in sippy cups, not mugs.  I told Chris I thought I needed a break :).

So last week I got my break.  I flew to Virginia for five days.  My roommate from BRSM, Charity Newcomb, got married last Saturday and I had the privilege of standing up in her wedding!  It was great to see Charity again and spend time with her, running errands and helping her get ready for her big day!  Charity looked beautiful in her wedding dress.  Her new husband is really sweet and they are so happy together!  I’ve included a picture of them from the rehearsal dinner.  All the details came together and everything was so beautiful.

I also got to see a lot of other friends from BRSM!  We all had such a great time catching up, reminiscing about school, and sharing girl talk.  Leah McMasters, Nicole Mcarthy (not sure if I spelled their names right and they are married now, with new last names), Jenny Maynard and Ginny Ralls (I think that’s her last name?) were all there!  It was so good to see them again.

I also got to see Anthony and Rachel Hammond (she used to be Rachel Jernigan)!  Rachel drove me to the airport when I left, so we had about three hours to catch up.  We also had a little adventure together.  We were using MapQuest directions, but somehow it didn’t seem right.  We stopped at a truck stop and a guy gave us totally different directions.  So it was a little nerve racking, but we made it and had some fun in the process.

Now I’m back with my boys.  I missed them all a lot!  Isaiah talked on the phone with me while I was gone and that was really sweet.  I missed Chris so much, especially with all the love that was in the air at the wedding.  It’s fun to travel, but there is nothing like being at home with my family!
