Santa Cruz

We had the best day off yesterday! I had my doctor’s appointment (after seeing Leah kicking, she said we have a healthy baby in there). After that we ran some errands, and then on a whim, decided to go to Santa Cruz.

Chris loves Urban Outfitters, but we only recently found out that there was one in Santa Cruz. We thought the closest one was San Francisco. We found the Urban Outfitters, and just down the street I found a cute little bohemian type shop. Chris got me the cutest jacket! We got it for about half what it would have cost at some place like Gap, and it is more original. Of course, I won’t be able to button it for a few months .

After shopping and eating something, we took Isaiah down to the beach. We apparently don’t take him enough, because he was a little intimidated by the waves. He would squeal and jump back whenever one rolled in. He was having fun, though. Chris finally convinced him to touch the water as it came in, which convinced him it was OK.  The picture is of him getting excited about the ocean.

Next we took him up on the boardwalk, where they have a bunch of rides. We didn’t know it ahead of time, but that day all the rides were only one ticket (Isaiah’s would usually have been 3 tickets a ride). This was the first time that Isaiah was actually old enough to ride by himself. He rode whales, a dragon with Chris, boats, cars, a Pepsi diesel, and a train with Chris! The first ride, he looked like he was just trying to figure it out, but after that he could barely wait to get off one ride so he could start the next one!

It turned out that the cotton candy was only $ .65 that day too (as opposed to the normal $3.50)! So I got cotton candy, which made me very happy!

We were tired by the end of all our fun, but it was so enjoyable watching Isaiah have a good time! Plus, we got lots of great pictures. You can check them out here.
